Guven Mechanical Clamshell Grab (2 & 4 Rope)

The Guven mechanical clamshell grab is a rope operated two-shell grab for cranes that have a dedicated grabbing winch. It carries no motor, hydraulics or batteries, which keeps maintenance low and reliability high in heavy bulk duty. The grab is available in 2-rope and 4-rope versions to match the winch layout of the crane.

This is a new unit from Guven Grab & Machine, a Turkish manufacturer active since 1984 with more than 10,000 grabs delivered to over 120 countries and type approval from BV, RINA, Class NK, LR, ABS and CCS. Capacity runs from 2 m³ up to 60 m³, the widest mechanical range, and can be tuned with kick plates to the bulk density.

Suitable bulk materials

Grain, gravel, soya, clinker, coal, pebbles, sand, fertilizers, aggregates, gypsum and biomass. Shell shape and capacity can be built to suit specific cargo or crane requirements.
